Another thing I add to my diet is greens.  No, not just salad, that could get pretty boring.  I add celery, spinach, kale, bok choy, pears, apples, zucchini, avocado, bell peppers, green beans, snap peas, jalapenos, broccoli, limes, cucumbers and asparagus among other green fruits and veggies.

There are a couple of things I do each day to ensure I get my greens.  First I make my smoothies in my Ninja Professional blender with the single serve cup.  I LOVE smoothies and so do the kids!  I use spinach or kale as my green base, add either a frozen banana or an avocado for the smooth texture (avocado if I am trying to watch my sugar intake), add some fruit like strawberries, pineapple, goji berries, apples, or veggies like carrots, celery, broccoli, add a bit of ice, some protein powder or ready made protein shake then blend!  Instant meal!  My favorite is

Tastes just like a peanut butter cup!

Another way I get my greens is either adding the It Works Greens to my smoothies or put them in a bottle of water and drink!  SOOOO easy!!  One packet of the Greens To Go or 1 scoop of Greens gives you 8+ servings of fruits and veggies for the day.  Greens help with digestion, PH balance in your body, acid reducer, regular colon function and give you an overall healthy balance to your diet with phytonutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and enzymes.  Read all about their details and natural ingredients at

Water is one of the most important changes I made in my diet.  I was a pretty good water drinker, at least a few 20oz tumblers filled.  But I also drank coffee, tea, Diet soda, energy drinks (eeekk! what was I thinking!) I would be so thirsty that nothing could quench it.  I loved the sparkling flavored water from the grocery store, you know the ones that say “no calories, no carbs”, super healthy right?

So after a few drinks, lots of junk food and feeling super crappy after Superbowl Sunday in February 2014 (GO HAWKS!!) I decided there and then that I was going to change, but where to start.  The easiest way for me was to stop drinking any kind of soda or flavored water.  I had read a lot on the effects of Aspartame and what it does to your body.  Those “healthy” sparkling waters at the grocery store.. yah full of Aspartame!  Diet soda, yep another Aspartame pusher.  I even cut out the artificial coffee creamer that I used to pour into my morning coffee by the gallons.  Full of hydrogenated oil and chemicals, yah no thanks!  Even the little packets of “on the go” flavor packs you dump into a bottle of water are mostly sweetened with Aspartame (there are a few that are not thankfully, so look carefully and you can find them!)

After cutting out the artificial sweeteners I found I wasn’t so thirsty anymore.  I would fill my 20oz tumbler with water every few hours and that was good for me!  I did have a huge headache for the first few days, I figured it was from the Aspartame loss, my body wanted it, but I denied it!  I did still drink my morning coffee, with 3 kiddos running around I NEED my coffee!  I started using It Works Vanilla Protein Shake Mix http://justamomonthego.myitworks.com/shop/product/315/ in my coffee and it tastes great, just like the vanilla coffee creamer I used to use!  Mix it with a bit of water then pour it in, YUM!

So I am a pretty modest person, but there is no way to take a photo of my results without showing my skin.  I have to say I was pretty excited about my first wrap results,  I also have pretty sensitive skin and the crème did not bother or irritate it at all, the red marks in the photos are the creases from the plastic that you put over the wrap to keep it in place.

After being pregnant 3 times, my skin was pretty loose around the middle below my belly button, it kind of just hung there.  Yoga pants or jeans helped keep it in place, but wearing any type of lower cut pants was out of the question.  I can say that most of the skin in that area has firmed up and lifted dramatically!

I have personally used the wraps on my tummy as well as my.. boo-tay!  I wrapped my lower back and down past the cheeks (no photos sorry, a bit TMI there LOL!)

About Me!

Hi!  My name is Becky and this is my family, Team Layson!

I was pregnant/nursing my children for almost 5 years straight, which didn’t give me a whole lot of time between to get myself back in order (not that I tried SUPER hard to do it!)  Hormones and emotions, insecurities and depression, happiness and excitement, illnesses and deaths came in with those 5 years of my life.  I have been between 133lbs and 208lbs in the past 7 years, now that is quite a difference.

I have tried almost every nutrition program, diet pill, detox, exercise program and some worked great!  I lost the weight, felt fabulous, got in a rut, started back with my old habits, which of course lead me back to the beginning.

I am not going to lie, I love food.

I love popcorn, I love candy, I love pizza, I love cheese, I love ice cream, I love pasta, I love bread, I love peanut butter, I love French fries.

But I also love my family, I love my friends, I love volunteering in my daughters school, I love being a part of their Girl Scout Troop, I love feeling like a whole person, I love wearing a tank top and shorts in the summer while working in  my yard and not feeling like I am offending the neighbors as they drive by.

When I have a problem, I research it to find the best solution.. I love YouTube, blogs, Wiki, the library, info is a passion, I can’t get enough!  I found a ton of whole food blogs, healthy lifestyles, supplements, natural remedies, oils, super foods, you name it, I read it!

With this new found knowledge, I changed my habits.  I learned how my body processed things that I put into it and realized I could make myself so much healthier and happier by changing just a little at a time.  I wanted to share some of this knowledge with others, in hopes it could help even one person change their lifestyle.  I am in no way a dietician or licensed medical doctor, I am Just A Mom On The Go..
